The D4 Composite brings the same badass looks protection and expertise as the D4 Carbon with only a minor weight penalty. The MIPS Brain Protection System in the D4 means the Troy Lee helmet delivers ultimate protection. MIPS is a layer in the helmet that allows the head to slide relative to the helmet. This reduces any rotational movement that would affect the brain. A collarbone suspension system improves safety by directing pressure away from the collarbone in case of any tumbles.
