| Style | Lightweight aluminium performance hybrid with full carbon tapered fork Shimano 3 x 8 drivetrain and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.By combining the speed and low weight of a road bike with a more comfortable and upright riding position the Speeder is the perfect partner for fast commuting and fitness rides. Powerful disc brakes and control enhancing flat bars are paired with greater tyre clearance for wider tyres that boost comfort. Road.cc called it an 'excellent fast flat-bar road bike with awesome performance' and certified it to be a 'lovely bike - great fun versatile practical'. Merida use the same triple butted 6066 series aluminium they use on road bikes which is hydroformed to tune the frame for a comfortable responsive ride. The addition of a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer delivers precise steering and a smooth ride. The upright position flat bars and powerful hydraulic disc brakes are ideal for commuting providing greater control and an enhanced field of vision when riding through traffic. For versatility the frame can accommodate wider tyres up to 35mm or 32mm with mudguards. |
